He was predeceased by : his parents, W. Huston Knarr and Elizabeth M. Linn Knarr; his wife Peggy L. Knarr; his former life partner Marie M. Knarr; his daughter Debra L. Cestello; his stepson Lee; and his daughter-in-law Gail Russell, Jr..

He is survived by : his son Kevin Knarr (Amy); and his stepchildren, Edward R. Russell, Gail Russell Lucas and Sherri Russell Best (Arn). He is also survived by four grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and several step great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lamar United Methodist Church.
