She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Lamey and Hazel Lamey (Barner); her husband George E. Heckel; her daughter Annette Miller; and her siblings, Robert Lamey, Nancy Blevins, Sara Heggenstaller, Janet Meyer and Helen Gentilman.
She is survived by: her daughter Peggy Jean; her son-in-law Leif Ericson of Windsor; her grandchildren, Jennifer Wilt, Shawn Miller and Tristan Ericson; her great grandchildren, Savannah, Sahara, Noah Wilt, Reese Miller, Ezra and Iris Ericson; and her siblings, Franklin, Forrest, Jr., John, William Lamey, Louise Frankenberger, Vivian Weaver, Eleanor Young, Kathleen Brungart, Darlene Carey, Connie Royer and Mary Brungard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Albright United Methodist Church (47 E Main St, Loganton, PA 17747). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Fairview Evangelical Cemetery East Main.
