Richard Joseph Buchalski

We are grieved to announce the passing of Richard Joseph Buchalski (92) of Long Pond Pennsylvania. Richard was born and raised in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. He served in the Army Reserves and was a property manager for the Bulova Watch Company. It was there that Richard met his beloved wife Gloria. To Richard, Gloria hung the moon. Together they created a profoundly beautiful childhood for their two boys, Dennis and Kenneth, in Levittown, NY where he worked as a handyman.
He was a family man through and through. It was clear how much he adored his Mother Natalie as well as his brother John and Sister Joan. He was a treasured Grandfather; you could find his grandchildren taking up residence one knee each with Grandpa on his big chair when they were little. He and Gloria eventually relocated to Long Pond to be closer to the grandchildren, Kerry and Richard. He had a kind and gentle heart; Richard leaves behind a legacy of love and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors: Richard will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Dennis Buchalski, and his wife Tara and Kenneth Buchalski; grandchildren, Richard D. Buchalski and Kerry E. Buchalski and her husband Michael Burns; great grandchildren, Levi Burns and Zafirah Edwards-Warren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Buchalski brother, John Buchalski, sister Joan and Mother Natalie Buchalski.
