He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Barton and Violet Barton (Youngson); his former wife Vera Barton; his sons, Jeffrey Barton and Mark Brisendine; and his siblings, Robert Barton and Dorothy New.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Barton (Newton); his children, Russell Barton, Kenneth Barton (Melody), Matthew Barton (Julie), Scott Brisendine (Henny), Lani Hoffman (George) and Julie Guzzo (James); and his daughter-in-law Tunde Brisendine. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren.
