He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth Coyle (Blaszczyk) and Hugh J Coyle; his siblings, Rita Cooper, Dorothy Coyle, Hugh Coyle, Loretta Hancock and Jane Bombassaro; and his grandson Taylor James Black.

He is survived by : his wife Joanie; his daughters, Susan (Bill Eritz), Karen, Sharon (Steve Black), Lynne (Michael Moran), Lori (Matt Zimmerman) and Lee Ann Collura (Jim); his grandchildren, Alex Lapiana (Nicole), Cory Lapiana, Dylan Black (Natasha), Ellis Lapiana (Brooke), Madison Black (Harold), Connor Moran (Ashli), Olivia Dixon (Zak), Evan Moran (London), Lydia Moran, Nathan Collura and Abby Collura; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Harris, Harlyn and Sonny; and his nieces and nephews, Hancock and Bombassaro.
