He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Kane and Garnet A. Guiney Kane; and his sisters, Mary Margaret Mystkowski, Lois Jean Rowe and Kathleen Monzi.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine "Jo" Valle Kane; his children, John Kane Jr. (Lori) of Matthews, NC, Daniel Kane (Kelly) of Richmond, VA and Stefanie Lucas (Jeffrey) of Bellefonte, PA; his grandchildren, Olivia, Adam (Caroline), Domenic, Maria and Colleen; his great grandchildren, Peter, Ellie and Thomas; and his brothers, Charles Kane (Janice) of Schwenksville, PA and Patrick Kane (Jane Ann) of Forest Hill, MD..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rusiewicz Funeral Homes Inc. - Lower Burrell (3124 Leechburg Rd, New Kensington, PA 15068). A prayer will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Church (3055 Leechburg Rd, Lower Burrell, PA 15068).
The family suggests donations be made in Mr. Kane's name to the St. Margaret Mary Food Bank or The Salvation Army.
