He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Flaherty and Margaret Flaherty; and his siblings, Jack Flaherty, Marion Scheftic and Dick Flaherty.
He is survived by: his wife Jean C. Mizgorski Flaherty; his children, Daniel Flaherty (Heidi) of Gibsonia, Timothy Flaherty (Fran) of Allison Park, Mary Pollick (Tom) of Allegheny Twp and Patricia Babinsack of Lower Burrell; his grandchildren, Ryan (Chrissy), Craig, Elisabeth, Peter, Liam (Autumn), Sean, Lucas Flaherty, Thomas (Jessica), Madelyn Pollick (Cameron Norris), Bridget and Benjamin Babinsack; his great grandchildren, Gillian, William, Michael, Riley, Milo, Rowan and Sadie; and his sister-in-law Patrica Flaherty.
