He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kirkland and Ruth Kirkland (McCollum); his wife Patricia Kirkland; and his son Robert Kirkland. He is survived by: his children, James Kirkland (Karrie) of Ohio and Nancy Bielata (Joe) of Lower Burrell; his daughter-in-law Vicki Kirkland of Vandergrift; and his grandchildren, Daniele Kirkland, Joe Bielata, Bo Kirkland (Kayla), Jamie Gregory (Kyle), Connor Kirkland and Cooper Kirkland. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
