It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry D. Bortz of Macungie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 28, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred P. "Milly" Bortz; his parents, Donald Bortz and Anna Bortz (Scibek); his brother Edward Bortz; and his sister-in-law Patricia F. Skelly.
He is survived by: his son Barry William "Will" Bortz of Macungie; his sister Jane D. Fetter (Dutch) of Laureldale, PA; his nephew Christopher Fetter of Temple, PA.; his siblings-in-law, Mary Colhoun (Mike) of Sun Valley, ID and Thomas M. Skelly of Milwaukee, WI; and his nephew Dr. Christopher Skelly of Chicago. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Burkholder Funeral Home (1601 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18102). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Inc. (1601 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18102).
