He was predeceased by: his wife Joan K. Butz (Schnaitman); and his parents, Solomon Butz and Lillian Butz (Graver). He is survived by: his children, Matthew Butz (Tonia Wellington) of Macungie and Monica James (Michael) of Macungie; his grandchildren, Dalton, Savanna Butz, Brock and Jack McElhenney; and his stepgranddaughter Lindsey James.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
