Michael J. Thompson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael J. Thompson of Macungie, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Michael shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Michael farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne McCully Thompson (Jan); his children, William G. Thompson III (Nicki) of Solana Beach, CA, Michael P. Thompson (Kathy O'Brien) of Allentown, Timothy C. Thompson (Jennifer) of Baltimore, MD, Maura T. Hagarty (Mike) of Winona, MN and Guinevere T. Hughes (Toby) of Allentown; and his sister Catherine Thompson (Edward Manuel) of Falmouth, ME. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Catholic Relief Services.
