We announce the death of Marilyn Frey of Mahoning, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 25, 2026, at the age of 84. Marilyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Howard W. Frey; her parents, Marvin L. Barry and Minnie Barry (Brown); her son Andy Knappenberger; and her siblings, Mary Lou Leslie and Marvin J. Barry Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Julia Schock (Gary Smith), Marcy Cetnar (Lyle) of Kunkletown, Marjorie Frey (Ryan Simmons), Chris Knappenberger (Kelly) of Mahoning Valley, Gerald "Jake" Knappenberger of Lehighton, Nevin Frey (Denise) of Beaver Run and Charles Frey (Laura); and her daughter-in-law Beverly DiGilio. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
