He is survived by: his wife Grace Palecko Mengel; his children, Grace and Edward Charles Mengel III; his daughter-in-law April Falconi Mengel; his granddaughters, Clare Summer Mengel and Audrey Grace Mengel; and his siblings, Rosemary Mengel Mancinelli, William Mengel and Kevin Mengel.
