He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur E. Tate and Carlyn J. Tate (Judy). He is survived by: his spouse Beverly A. Tate (Leiphart); his children, Carlyn Medley of Mooresville, Franklin S. Tate, Jr. of York, Vickie Walters of York, Jennifer Smith of Spring Grove and Clifford Hillbert, III of York; and his sister Cecelia Schmuck. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
