She was predeceased by: her husband Elmer J. Gross; her parents, Samuel Knaub and Alfretta Knaub (Haupt); her siblings, Esther Beam, Mary Kate Ness, Ray Knaub and Clarence Knaub; and her granddaughter-in-law Dee Sowers.

She is survived by: her daughter Lana Sowers (Dale) of Mount Wolf; her grandsons, David Sowers of Mount Wolf and Michael Sowers (Peggy) of York; her great grandchildren, Jordan Sowers (Leah), Sarah Sowers (Koen), Erick Sowers (Kaylee), Kathryn Sowers and Madelyn Sowers; and her brother Gordon Knaub.
