He was predeceased by: his parent Sterling "Sonny" Witmer; his stepsister Patta J. Houser (Thomas); his stepmother Treva V. Witmer; and his brother Dale E. Witmer. He is survived by: his parent Ardene Grove (Bucher) of York; his daughter Stephanie L. Witmer (Racelyn); his brother Bryan K. Witmer (Kelly); and his stepbrother Richard "Chip" Helfrick, III (Ellen).
