He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Thomas Troxell and Ellen Troxell (Bornie); his siblings, Avanell Peters, Richard Troxell, Betty Stringer, Audrey Morgan, Michael Troxell, Lawrence Troxell and Charles Troxell; and his granddaughter Emily Cope.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne M. Troxell (Egan); his children, Ellen Cope (Tom) of Shavertown, PA and Michael Troxell (Marlene); his grandchildren, Rachel Macfarlane (Colin), Kevin Cope (Becca), Kirsten Cope and Matthew Troxell (Hanna); his great grandchildren, Ainsely and Owen; and his siblings, Barbara Repasch, Stella Faust (William), Joyce Newhart (Ken) and Catasaqua. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church (201 Randel St, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George's memory may be made to St. Ambrose RCC, 201 Randel St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
