He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ruth and Elizabeth Ruth; and his siblings, Harry Ruth, Jr., Janice Sanchez and Arlene Spece.
He is survived by: his pet Annie; his wife Marilyn Ruth (Lintner); and his children, Joe Kocevar-Weidinger (Elizabeth) and Donna Fortson (Brian). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a sister.
