He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence D. Fahnestock and Grace E. Rudy Fahnestock; his wife Doris L. Diehm Fahnestock; his son David Scott Fahnestock; his brother Clarence "Cy" Fahnestock; and his sister-in-law Kay Fahnestock.
He is survived by: his children, Gail E. (Brian Huber) and Gary D. (Sharon Fahnestock) of Manheim; his grandchildren, Matthew (Leann Huber), Ryan Huber (Shane), John McBride and Kayla Roman; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Wyatt and Ryleigh.
