She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Earl Rice and Mary Miller Rice; her husband Alan R. Brown; her former husband Ray V. Houck; and her sisters, Kay Reinhart and Jean DeVerter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sonja Froelich (John) of Lancaster and Sherri Forrey (George) of Manheim; her grandsons, Jared (Erica) of Columbia and Cameron of Charlottesville, VA; and her brother Joseph Rice (Edna) of Brownstown. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association or Water Street Mission.
