He was predeceased by : his father Ron Hempel. He is survived by : his children, Aubree Johnson (Cameron), Andrew, Austin and Aidan; his grandchildren, Naomi and Roman Johnson; his siblings, Jesse (April), Devin and Jodi; and his mother Cindy Daugherty (late Jim). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made towards the funeral expenses.
