She was predeceased by : her husband Don Richard Elder Sr.; her son Don Elder Jr.; her parents, John Schmitt and Martha Jane Schmitt; and her brother John Schmitt.

She is survived by : her daughter Linda Baughman (Scott); her grandchildren, Jordan and Seth Baughman; her brother Ed Schmitt (Marie); and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Schmitt and Kay Stoner. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
