It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wendell Benson of Mansfield, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 22, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Wendell is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Herbert and Dorris M. Benson (Mudge); his wife Rose Marie Benson (Shamonski); and his sister Arlene Carlyle. He is survived by: his children, Dena Benson of Covington, PA, Carla Jungquist of Canandaigua, NY and Michael Benson (Bradina) of Decatur, TX; his stepson Harlan Copp of Bath, NY; and his grandchildren, Eric Gee Sara Herbst, Brian Jungquist and Danielle Jungquist. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
