He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle F. Smith Sr. and Nellie Booth Smith. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Miller; his daughter Shani Smith (Wade Smith) of Marianna, PA; his grandchildren, Daniel and Kelsey Smith; his sister Donna Mercante (Tony); and his daughter-in-law Nola C. Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and the many coworkers.
