He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elzinga and Trina Elzinga (Hoekema); and his siblings, Piery Moens and Andrew Elzinga. He is survived by: his wife Judy (Aupperlee); his children, Peter Elzinga (Stephanie) and Kristen Ridge (Michael); his grandchildren, Robert Elzinga, Mikayla Ridge, Megan Elzinga and Mia Ridge; and his sister Jane Lindemulder.
