He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy P. Ford Lucas; and his grandson Nathaniel. He is survived by: his children, Joseph E. Lucas, Elaine Gray, Laurel Leitzel and Catherine Baxter; his grandsons, William, Christopher, Lucas, Joshua and Jonathan; and his great grandchildren, Owen and Carson.
