It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Frances Dean of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brothers, James Shea and John Edward Shea; her grandson Teddy Dean Carso; and her siblings-in-law, Frederick Dean (Loraine), William Mitcheson, Marjorie Trujillo (Juan "Smoky") and Patricia Ross (David).
She is survived by: her children, Francis "Frank" Dean (Margaret "Megan" Seibel) of Menlo Park, CA. and Kerry Dean Carso (Brian F. Carso, Jr.) of Matamoras, PA.; her sister Theresa Michaud (Kenneth) of Wilmington, MA.; her grandchildren, Jackson Dean, Madeline Dean, Owen Carso and Nathaniel Carso; and her sisters-in-law, Martha Patz (George) of Meredith, NH. and Mary Mitcheson of Melbourne, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
