He is survived by : his stepsons, Matt Means of Clarion and Mark Means of New Bethlehem; his grandchildren, Catherine Means of Putneyville, Leah Dubrock of Dayton and Camden Means of Clarion; his siblings, John Shaffer of Pleasant Gap, David Shaffer of Mayport, Lewis Shaffer of Mayport, Brian Shaffer of Mayport, Mark Shaffer of Timblin and Sandy Bowser (Randy Bowser) of Distant; his nieces, Jordonna Bowser of South Bethlehem, Brittany Friedley of Clarion and Jamie Turnbull of Colorado; and his nephew Nathaniel Bowser of Distant. He is also survived by three great-grand children.
