He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoffman and Vada Hoffman (Hockenberry); his son Randy "Skeeter" Hoffman; and his brothers, Terry Hoffman and John Hoffman.

He is survived by: his close friend Ruthann Benner of McAlisterville. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
