He was predeceased by: his father Robert L. Walter; his wife Peggy L. Baker; and his son Christopher Walter. He is survived by: his mother Marie E. Walter (Gramley); his sons, Mark Walter (Carol) and Jason Walter (Nichole); his siblings, Roger "Fuzz" Walter (Linda), Robetta Sipe, Sharon Wright (Greg) and Beverly Moyer (Roy Sr.); his foster sister Juli Jones (Todd); his daughter-in-law Tracy; and his close friend Jane Hoffman.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Jerry's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
