He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Mellott and Margaret L. Keefer Mellott; and his brother Paul Mellott. He is survived by: his wife Edith Mellott of McConnellsburg, PA; his stepsons, Robert Lee Beard of McConnellsburg, PA and William Lee Beard of McConnellsburg, PA.; and his sisters, Virginia Thompson of Goshen, NY, Cynthia Parrell of Middletown, NY and Angela Seylar of McConnellsburg, PA. He is also survived by four nieces and two nephews.
