It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine A. Bard of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 15, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Fix and Muta Parks Fix; and her siblings, Harold Fix, Earl Fix, Clair Fix, Blaine Fix, Phyllis Kerlin, Carlys Slater, Helen Layton, Marie DeRhodes and Arlene Umbrell.

She is survived by : her children, Lana McElhaney (Dave) of McConnellsburg, PA, Tiffany Spitler (Scott) of Lucas, OH and Travis Bard (Kathy) of McConnellsburg, PA; her grandchildren, Lindsey Long, Michael Miller, Morgan Spitler and Brayden Spitler; her great grandchildren, Madison Miller, Kiara Tu, Kylee Tu, Brianna Long, Maddax Long and Nola Long; her stepgrandchildren, Tripp Carbaugh and Marina Fester; her siblings, Lois Linke of McConnellsburg, PA and Phillip Fix of Hustontown, PA; and her pet Sequoia.
