He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Carlowski and Martha Carlowski (Gniewkowski); his wife Joanne Carlowski (Frankl); and his sister Diane Lewis (Sonny). He is survived by: his stepfather George Miller; his children, Jennifer Sherman (Matt) and James Carlowski (Amy); his sister Maureen Altenbaugh (Ed); his grandsons, Jacob, Christopher Sherman and Garrett Carlowski; and his brothers-in-law, William Frankl and Robert Frankl (Patty).
Jim would have preferred no flowers and due to his late wife Joanne's repeatedly sending cows and goats to all of the communities in Africa, which greatly annoyed him, charitable donations are not necessary, but could be sent to Little Sisters of the Poor.
