He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sczerbeck and Mary Sczerbeck (Fenio); his wife Mary Zanis; his siblings, Matthew (Biff), Nicholas (Nicky), Joseph (Cookie), Anna Lysko (Peter) and Rose Pecanis (Ed); and his close friend Dee Shuhilo.
He is survived by: his siblings, Irene Pellatiro (late Sam) and John (Marge); his children, Michael (Marcia) and Mary Ann Candee (Martin); his grandchildren, Michael Jr. (Nicole), Melissa Castello (Jeffery), Martin Candee (Brooklyn) and Katarina Candee-Pineda (Anthony); and his great grandchildren, John, Bryan, Callie Ann and Maverick.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Szal Funeral Home, Inc. (238 Helen St, McKees Rocks, PA 15136). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM and on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
