He is survived by: his mother Joy Shaffer (Kibish); his son Charles Shaffer; his former wife Karen Ostrander; his siblings, David Shaffer, Diane Hetrick (Benjamin), Jay Shaffer, Donna Hecht (Jeffrey) and Catherine Shaffer; his nieces and nephews, Anthony Mandak (Kelsey), Blair Amon (Joseph), Spenser Shaffer, Anna Mandak, Gage Shaffer, Landin Shaffer, Braxton Readel and Pierce Readel; and his close friend Katie Kearney. He is also survived by many cousins; extended family.
