He was predeceased by: his father David Brown; his wife Moira Brown (Shearer); his son James Brown, Jr.; his stepson Gary Shearer; his grandson Robert "Bubba" Brown; and his brothers, Gary Brown and Kenneth Brown, Sr..
He is survived by: his mother Gladys Kelley; his son Gordon "Pete" Brown; his stepdaughter Tracy Shearer; his siblings, Erma Jean Flohr and Mike Ingram; his nieces, Kelly Flohr, Serena and Samantha Flohr; and his pet Kitty. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Willig Funeral Home & Crematory (220 9th St, McKeesport, PA 15132). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 4:00 PM.
