He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion J. Pelter and Dorothy Marie Pelter (Cherry); and his wife Rita Pelter (Rose). He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Pelter (Alicia) of Kansas City, Melissa Handley (Darren) of Fayetteville, GA and Janice Nolan (Eric) of Guilford, CT; his grandchildren, Adam (Kiera), Nicholas, Makaila (Nyka), Ethan, Ellsie, Noelle, Cora and Aubrey; his great grandchildren, Bo and Callahan; and his sister Jean Putt of Ohio.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory (4504 Walnut St, McKeesport, PA 15132). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Park Baptist Church (749 Center St, McKeesport, PA 15132). A burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery (2300 Greenock Buena Vista Rd, McKeesport, PA 15135).
