He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lee and Emma Frances Lee; and his siblings, Carl, Harry, Lawrence, Kenneth, Willard, Roy, Frances Sayles (Babe) and Jean Sayles (Dinnie).

He is survived by: his wife Ethel Dolly Lee; his grandchildren, Shani Lee, Creighton Lee Jr., Thomas Powell (Tynishia), Justin Powell and Ashley Powell; and his great grandchild Tommi Powell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in memory of Robert C. Lee.
