He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Butvin and Mary Faith Butvin; his grandson Benjamin Shriner; and his siblings, Andrew Butvin, Helen Huss, Mary Ann Scapellato and Theresa Thayer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Meadows (Steven) of Houston and Amy Shriner (George) of Sanford, NC; his grandchildren, Mikayla Dubbs (Hunter), Jessica Meadows (Aaron Plants), Jeremiah Meadows, Morgan Shriner and Brayden Shriner; his great grandchild Peter Dubbs; and his sister Pauline Fournier of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
