Dolores R. Groft Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dolores R. Groft of McSherrystown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Dolores had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Dolores may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Curtis and Bernadette Groft (Murren); and her siblings, James L. Groft, Theresa Schuman and Joan M. Rudisill.
She is survived by: her siblings, Dick A. Groft (Jean), Peggy Knox (Dave) and Sylvia A. Hartzell (Bing). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (26 N 3rd St, McSherrystown, PA 17344). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
