It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Dean Bortner (McSherrystown, Pennsylvania), who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Susan Bortner (Level) and Miles E. Bortner; his significant other Carol Bortner (Groft); his stepdaughter Jackie Taylor; his son-in-law Alan Little; and his sisters, Dorothy (LeRoy Berkheimer) and Bety (James McDannel).
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Little, Crystal Sentz-Belivakici (Thomas) and Michele Smeach (Todd); his granddaughter Kaila Pigott (Chris); his stepgrandson Payton Taylor (Maggie); his great grandchild Maggie McCabe Pigott; his wife Pat McKim-Bortner; and his stepchildren, Tina Hillman, Terri Grabill (Jerry), Rick Yoder (Tammy Sharon) and Tricia Staub. He is also survived by 3 nieces, 1 nephew, & 9 great-nieces & nephews, 10 step-grandchildren & 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (5055 Grandview Rd, Hanover, PA 17331).
