He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schweitzer and Ethel DeMaison Schweitzer; his spouse Shirley Baker; his daughter Kathy Hunter; his son-in-law Tom Hunter; his grandson Gus Hunter; and his sisters, Nancy Hope, Margaret Lilly, Joanne Walls and Elizabeth Richardson.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Schweitzer of Pittsburgh and Kenneth Schweitzer (Callie) of Huntsville, AL; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hunter (Hope), Quinn Hunter, Ellen Hunter (Craig Hoag), Daniel Hunter, Lawrence Hunter (Kaitlyn), Vivian Hunter and Brooks Schweitzer; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Kate, Gigi and Tyler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
