He was predeceased by: his parents, David Smock and Beatrice Smock (Davison); his wife Lorraine Gladys Wills; his daughter Linda Eidell; and his brother Paul Smock.
He is survived by: his children, David Smock (Kathy) of Hurlock, MD and Jill McGowan (James) of Meadville, PA; his grandchildren, Kristy Vilkie (Joe), Matt Walker, Carrie Knipe (Morgan), Michelle Kearns (Chad), Andrea Carr (Trent) and Adam Hoke (Tanya Lawrence); his great grandchildren, Noah Blake, Sophie Kearns, Jack Kearns, Avery Carr, Riley Knipe, Reagan Knipe, Caiden Knipe and Logan Walker; his sister Nancy Rist of Elizabeth, PA; and his son-in-law Robert Eidell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the French Creek Community Church (18320 Conneaut Lake Rd, Meadville, PA 16335).
