He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Gilliand and Cleo J. Gilliand (Walters); his son John R. "Gig" Boyles; and his siblings, Richard Gilliand and Jean Keller of Stow, OH.
He is survived by: his wife C. Jane McQuiston; his children, Susan L. Beers and George Boyles (Diane); his sister-in-law Claudia Gilliand; his grandchildren, Tyler Beers, Weston Beers and Jessica Boyles Tucker; and his great grandchildren, Steven, Tabitha Tucker, Leo and Colt Beers.
The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the Cochranton Cemetery Association.
