It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emma Mae Powell of Meadville, Pennsylvania, born in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernard Shumaker and Jessie Shumaker (Switzer); her husband Edward D. Powell; and her siblings, Earl Shumaker and Lois Passauer.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Raney (Jeffrey) of Adamsville and Steven Powell (Jody) of Union City; and her grandchildren, Adam Raney (Michele), Erin Uber (Thomas), Alyssa Fox (Kurtis) and Jarett Powell (Sarah). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (404 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA 16335). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
