Joan B. Cornell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2025, at the age of 90, Joan B. Cornell of Meadville, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hamilton Bortner and Florence Bortner (Richardson); her husband Robert C. Cornell; her siblings, Merf, Glenn, Donald, Billy, Chuck, Ella Mae, June, Lois, Ruth and Jean; and her daughter-in-law Neoma Mattocks.
She is survived by: her children, David Mattocks, Jr. of Saegertown and Sharon Chapman (Timothy) of Belmont, NH; her grandchildren, Monique Stallings (Scott), Isaiah Mattocks (Heather), Elijah Mattocks (Katherine), Jeff Mattocks, Peter Mattocks, Jude Mattocks, Ezra Mattocks, John Chapman, Mark Chapman, Brian Chapman and Christopher Hollern (Megan); her great grandchildren, Brittany, Hanna, Anna Stallings, Dakota, Malachi, TaraBeth Mattocks, Lydia and Willow Mattocks; her great great grandchildren, Neveah, Izabella Stallings, Declan, Maddox, Sawyer and Bennett Hollern; and her niece Mary Brewton (Richard).
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (404 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA 16335).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairview/Fairmont Out Reach c/o Stone United Methodist Church, 956 S. Main St., Meadville, PA 16335.
