With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Michael Gilbert of Meadville, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 26, 2025 at the age of 37. He was predeceased by: his grandmother Dianna Gilbert; his great-grandparents, Jesse Tracy and Norma Tracy; his grandfather Lou Forro; his great-grandparent Mabelle Norris; and his grandfather Bill Norris.
He is survived by: his parents, James Leroy Gilbert, Jr. and Laura Norris Moore; his father-in-law Jerome; his grandparents, James L (Gilbert Sr.) and Linda Norris; his half-siblings, Michael, Matthew, Luke Gilbert, Hailey Kuhn and Megan Kelly (Dustin); his aunt Kim Davis (Mike); and his cousins, Andrea and Erica Davis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Van Matre Funeral Home (335 Venango Ave, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
