He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Tidd and Althea Tidd (Dawson); his wife Frances C. Zajac; and his siblings, Bill Tidd, Evelyn Farley, Alice Keller and Betty Dean.

He is survived by: his children, Denise Field (Glenn) of Conneautville, PA and Richard Tidd (Patti) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; his grandchildren, Danelle Stellmach (Terry), Noah Tidd, Brooke Tidd, Apryl Boyle (Dan) and Forrest Schauer (Emma); his great grandchildren, Killian, Brayden, Arya, Amilia and Paysen; his sister Nancy Mitch of Pensacola, FL; and his nephew Brian Tidd.
