He was predeceased by: his parents, John VanTuil and Helen VanTuil (Reichter); his wife Mary Lou Boyd; and his siblings, Col. Jack VanTuil, Norbert VanTuil and Frances VanTuil.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Sharon DellaGrotta (Gary) of Londonderry, NH and Kurt VanTuil (Jan) of Meadville; his grandchildren, Keith DellaGrotta (Maria), Lynn DellaGrotta Edelmann (Jason), Benjamin VanTuil (Abigail) and Candice VanTuil; and his great grandchildren, Matteo DellaGrotta, Andrew VanTuil and Tucker VanTuil. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
