She was predeceased by: her father Ernest Brooks; and her husband Donald Garlitz. She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Kimble (Bob) of Westminster, MD and Susan Peter (Jerry) of New Holland, PA; and her grandchildren, Dr. Julia (Peter), Thayer (Evan), Bryan Peter (Celina), Dr. William Weisgerber (Mary Click) and Tyler Kimble.
She was also a docent at the Governor's Mansion until the pandemic in 2020.
